Cryogenics Temperature cards are systematically getting damaged during Electrical Quality Assurance Tests. Four different testing cases were examined. After conducting extended laboratory tests the combination of anti-surge smd resistors with thyristor surge suppresor successfully passed all testing cases and protected the cards. This pretection circuit will be added either in new HL-LHC cards, integrated in new card design, or in existing LHC cards, as and external PCB, being placed close to the cryogenics crate.
